              7-22-07

              This week's word is: HARRYFREAKINGPOTTER.

Basically, I'm too busy being a nerd in front of a book to be a nerd in front of the computer. But! I will say this, Harry Potter and Tokio Hotel are more similiar than you think!

For example [insert example here] and not to mention the fact that Bill is very much like [appropriate Harry Potter character name] and Gustav is [deity of your choosing].

Tom is the Boy Who Doesn't Give a Shit. I just wanted to say that for no good reason.

Anyway, I'll see you all next week. Seriously. It'll be the best Weekly Word ever and other convincing words! For the time being, check out this week's new Reader Mail.

              Reader Mail:

Here's some lovely "Tokio Hotel" stories I received in the mail since my last post. Continue sending me your stories and I may post them here. Make sure to keep them short and sweet, some of the emails were pages and pages long and there's no room to post them, sorry!

Comment: My 'How I Got Into Tokio Hotel' story:

A few months ago, perhaps around February or March, my lovely friend Joyce was on Youtube. She came across 'Rette Mich on piano' and clicked on it, being a fan of piano playing. She told me she saw a picture of Tom playing guitar as the preview for the video, and in her words "Tom looked interesting." She clicked the video, and then sent it to me.

I saw Bill Kaulitz, my first love, and my eyes went wide. I thought this was some asian girl at first! I became instantly addicted to Rette Mich and the most gorgeous boy I'd ever seen. I scrolled down to read comments and saw 'The lead singer's name is Bill.' I thought, "SURELY THIS CANNOT BE A GIRL!" Immediately, I began searching for more music.

I have every single song by Tokio Hotel, and even Bill singing It's Raining Men.

I'm purely addicted, and have managed to make TONS of people fans. Not one person that I've let listen to their music dislikes it, despite the fact that they think Bill's either a fag or a girl. As soon as they hear his voice, they're addicted as I was.

              :D

Comment: It was the weirdest thing. So there I was, middle of a cornfield, doing what I do best. Clicking on a myspace friend, and then one of their friends and one of their friends..

And all of a sudden, I got to some girls page who had these beautiful pictures. I thought, Theres no way that can seriously be her. So I looked farther into it and her name was..Bill?

I wiki'd Bill and found out more about him, and his band and all. ;D.

And then I saw Tom and fell completely in hate with him until I realized about 2-3 weeks later that he was cute as hell. kthxbai.

<3. Ps. Im taking online german courses just so I can listen to the original songs. >:]]. Ive been vury obsessed since that day.

Comment: It was a horrible, dark, stormy night when---wait. No. Wrong story. That’s the night I stumbled across random Pokemon videos. Bill, Pikachu, they all look the same. Anyways, I was glued to my computer screen, as usual, when my friend decided to show me her new song obsession, “Schrei.” So of course, I said, “Okay, sure show me,” being the overly bored person with too much free time that I am. But no! That’s not the end of it. She didn’t have the song, so she linked me to the video on Youtube. (Oh Youtube you and your low quality videos you! ) My life ended shortly after. I played the video, but I didn’t watch it. Then I played the song again, since it was so catchy, and actually watched the video. There I saw young Bill with all his tight-pants and eyeliner goodness.

Next thing I knew, I was looking for pictures of Tokio Hotel to see what the band looked like. Tom caught my attention with his cascading dreadlocks, and Bill’s….Billness caught me as well.

Only a month ago I discovered Tokio Hotel and I’ve been brainwashed. Sucked into the deep abyss of fangirlism, I now have basically memorized their favorite bands, idols, pets, and maybe even what color of underwear Gustav wears on Tuesday. I love Tokio Hotel—probably a little too much, but I don’t plan of giving up my fangirly ways anytime soon.

Comment: THE STORY OF HOW I GOT INTO TOKIO HOTEL

It was a warm summer's day in Melbourne which is quite uncommon, even in the summer. I had resorted to wearing my bathing suit - the one with The Wiggles doing the Hot Potato on it - to survive the heat, but all attempts were in vain; Mother Nature had other plans that day.

I was perched upon my computer chair, desperately looking to take my mind off the sweltering hell hole that was my room, and I just so happened to be checking my LiveJournal FList at the time. I streaked past entry after entry at lightening speed, as I am wont to do (but don't tell my FList or they will pelt me with marshmallows and threaten to bundle me up in satin sheets!!), and a flash of a picture caught my attention.

Slowly, but surely, I scrolled back up to the middle of the page where the picture was situated and began to feast my eyes on the beauty before me. There was this gorgeous girl staring back at me, her eyebrows raised in a look which said "I'm not really a girl, you moron, but I am still hot, yes" and several other people who, at that time, were unimportant to me.

My curiosity got the better of me, finally, as I clicked on a link and was taken to a MySpace page. For months and months this face had been taunting me, teasing me, enticing me in ways I never knew were possible. I had resisted as best I possibly could but... no more. If it's fate, it's fate!

Much to my abundant surprise a male voice began to sing as the page finished loading, and in German no less! Could this be true? Was this feminine beauty really not so feminine (biologically, of course... as far as we know!) after all? Was s/he also German, despite my previous assumption that s/he was Asian?

My mind boggled as realization after realization hit me like a marshmallow being thrown by an angry FLister; hard and fast and extra squishy. Everything I had ever believed to be true, every thought I had had up until that very point, had been an absolute false. I felt cheated and dirty.

              And I liked it.
