This week I have delved into the minds of the boys of Tokio Hotel. It wasn't easy, as Bill talks like he has something phallic in his mouth, Georg mumbles, Tom does street talk, and Gustav is just so damn proper. We had many language barriers. How did things pan out? Well. I ended up compiling a list of words you just need to know if you're going to be a Tokio Hotel fan. The list is as follows:

Geil: Perhaps the most essential word. Geil, pronounced [Guy-ull] can be used two different ways. For example, one could say Ach, Tom, du bist sehr geil! which would translate to "Tom, you are so sexy/hot!" Or, one could say, Mein gott, ich bin gein! which translates to "Oh god, I am horny."

Supi: This word can be heard uttered adorably by one of or both of the twins, usually Bill. Although Tom has been heard saying it. It means super, big surprise. [soopy]

Genau: Always said by any of the lads in the band. It means "correct", or "exactly", or "right". Sounds proper? That's just how they ~roll~. [gi-now]

Und schön ausholen, Gustav... schön posen: This is what one says when one is having a rough day. Note the use of the punching bag... I mean, Gustav. [Oond shoon ow-shuh-linn, goose-tuff... shoon pose-in]

Das is gelogen: This phrase can be used when denying a truth. It literally means, "That is a lie!" This phrase was first heard said in a forceful, AKA drunk tone by Tom Kaulitz. He's never been the same since. [Doss ist geh-low-ginn]

Schwul: This word can be quite cruel, yet telling. The word schwul means "gay" in our native tongue. FOr example: Georg ist ganz, ganz schwul, which means "Georg is very, VERY gay." I'd have said Bill was, but that's mean and I'm mad at Georg right now. [shwoll]

Scheiß: A very useful word! Use it to express disappointment, frustration, or even joy. It means "shit". [shy-zuh]

Zwillinge: Bill und Tom, Tom und Bill. Is the word for "twins"! [zvell-ing-uh]

Schlampe: This word can be used a lot around Tom. It means slut. You do the math. [shlomp-uh]

Ich liebe...: You'll want to use this when expressing your undying love, or casual like, for something. Ich liebe Tokio Hotel!! means "I love" or "I very much like" or "I'm okay with"... "Tokio Hotel!!" [Ish Leeb]

Nein: As if we haven't all heard, slept, and breathed Schrei. (Ew.) Nein means "NO". It is not followed by ten. [NINE]

Ganz Spektakulär: Bill tends to say this about everything. It means "entirely spectacular", apparently he thinks many things are. How is your pizza, Bill? ganz Spektakulär. How is Gustav, Bill? ganz Spektakulär. How's Tom's hat, Bill? NEIN. [gonz shpec-tak-yoo-lair]

Is so amassink to me!!: This phrase is quite useful. It is uttered when one is on the verge of a mental breakdown, has already flown the coop, or is thinking about buying property in Southern America. It can mean anything you want. It's the Play-Doh of catchphrases. [Is so amassink to me!!]

Ledzgo Ledzgo Ledzgo: One time, Tom tried to be a rapper and this was how it panned out. Badly spelt english. It translates roughly as, "my hat is stuck to my head and I've got male pattern balding and a fivehead. Ledzgo." And down the crapper went Tom's rapping career. [Ledz Go]

Da geht mein Herz auf, ah! This phrase is used to describe your state of being whenever Bill does... anything. It means, "My heart is melting, aw!"[Da get mine hurts owff, ah!]

Jibson: This is the name of Tom's one and only long term girlfriend. He can't really pronounce her name right, but his love is steady and true. Avast... it is his guitar. The "Gibson". Sometimes BIll gets jealous, so maybe don't use this one too much. [Jib-sun]

Malheuresement je ne parle pas tres bien francais, mais je serais de mameheuret pour la prochaine fois...: The only french phrase Bill will ever know. Actually, it's probably the only phrase he'll ever know of a language other than German. It means, basically, "Unfortunately, I don't speak French very well, but I will do better next time." Nota Bene: He didn't do better next time. [Go take French 101, you'll love it.]

Kein habbofun: A phrase to be used when expressing UTTER disappointment. It was first said in the Tokio Hotel Habbo Hotel online chat session, when a moderator asked Bill if he liked Hobbo Hotel and he replied rather bluntly, Kein habbofun! which loosely translates to, "No, you fucking cybernerd, I have better things to do than sit on my scrawny ass and type-chat with all of you losers. CIAO!!!"... loosely, I said loosely. [Kine habb-oh fun!]

Für Immer: It means forever. They say it way too much in their songs, but it sounds pretty, I guess. Actually, Bill could say "trash bag rodent shit" and it would sound pretty. [fur immer]
